Massage Add-On Services

Hot Stone Massage

Heated basalt stones are used to massage your body. The stones are then placed on key points of your body for deeper relaxation. The heat of the stones feels amazing in the muscle tissue. This session is very grounding and relaxing.

Cupping

The practice of cupping has been around for centuries. The cups create suction on an area of the skin either by fire or a hand pump cup. The cups will then stay on for 10-15 minutes or they may be slid across the skin to break up deep scar tissue or knots. Cupping brings blood to the surface to promote healing, or dispel the stagnation in that area. Just a note that this may cause circles and bruising on skin. Each therapist has their own style. They may use, gliding, fire or stationary cups.

*Not be recommended while pregnant, with broken bones or while having period.

CBD

Add the usage of CBD infused oils or salves to your massage session.

Good for Your Sole

Delight in an extra 15 minutes of time spent on your feet that can be added on to any session. This add-on starts with wrapping the feet with a hot towel, followed by either an Eminence Mango Enzyme or Stone Crop wrap and Eminence or Locust Grove scrub. The feet and lower legs are then massaged, wrapped again in hot towels and then moisturized.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a body and face scraping technique. It’s a part of the system of Traditional Chinese Medicine with mentions in the Shanghan Lun, a Chinese medical text on illness from BC 220.

The literal meaning of gua sha is “to scrape sand,” which refers to the light, speckled bruising on the skin after a treatment. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, gua sha is believed to move blood and Qi (life force or energy flow in the body)

The most common conditions and symptoms treated with gua sha include:

  • back pain
  • shoulder and neck tension
  • carpal tunnel syndrome
  • tennis elbow
  • poor circulation
  • scar tissue

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, pain and illness can be caused by blood stagnation or a blockage of Qi. Gua Sha causes the blood and energy blockages to disperse, allowing the free flow of both within the body.

Gua Sha also breaks up adhesions in our connective tissue. These adhesions can form after injury or surgery or because of poor posture and tension in the body.

Gua Sha causes light bruising called “Sha” that can vary from light pink to red and even purple. In some cases small blisters may form. If bruising does appear (which isn’t always the case) if can last from 1-7 days.

Himalayan Salt Massage

Himalayan Sea Salt contains up to 98% sodium chloride, as well as calcium, magnesium, potassium, manganese, iron, and many other natural minerals.

When used for massage therapy, the pink Himalayan salt crystals are carved into stones by hand, and then heated and applied to the body with pressure.

During massage therapy, Himalayan salt stones provide many unique therapeutic and healing benefits for the body and mind.

Therapeutic massage with Himalayan salt stones decrease the levels of stress while increasing the feeling of relaxation.

Himalayan salt crystals also create a heightened sense of positivity and well-being overall.

The essential minerals within the heated Himalayan stones deeply penetrate the skin, joints, and muscle tissue.

Showering is recommended after receiving Himalayan Salt Massage. For your convenience, Infinity has a shower onsite and may be booked for use after your session for a $5 fee.

Specialty Services

Reiki

A Reiki session can heal on many levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Energy in a person’s aura can become stagnant or blocked, which may lead to physical illness. Using a combination of intuitive Reiki and pranic healing techniques, this light-touch session will clear blocked/negative energy and energize chakras, leaving the client relaxed and refreshed.

This can help with chronic pain, post-surgery recovery, grief, stress & anxiety. Aromatherapy can also be added for a complete healing experience, along with Palo Santo, smudging, or sweetgrass.

The client is fully clothed for Reiki sessions.

Sound Therapy

Vibrational healing works directly in the body’s energy field and chakras. It cleanses, balances, removes negative energy, and gives an overall sense of wellbeing. Vibrational frequencies move through the tissues on a cellular level to activate the body’s self-healing system.

Ear Candling

Simple and effective way to gently remove excess wax and toxins from the ears. This is a very relaxing, cleansing and non-invasive treatment. Long tapered hollow candles are lit and placed in ear canal. A therapist is with you the entire session using essential oils to work the head, face, sinus and lymph system.

CranioSacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is offered to a client who is fully clothed and lying comfortably on the table. The therapist listens and follows the client’s body using a light touch, often no more than the weight of a lilypad floating on water. Sometimes, the therapist’s hands remain in one spot for many minutes during a session.

During a session, a client may notice emotions rising, including a deep sense of calm and presence in their body. A client may also feel physical sensations such as warmth, a muscular or connective tissue release, or a belly rumble (a sign that the relaxation response has deepened!).

Craniosacral therapy seeks to assist the natural flow of cerebral spinal fluid as it supplies nutrition to the brain and spinal cord. It also gently works to release restrictions in fascia, a connective tissue that wraps around and supports the structures in your body, including your muscles and bones. CST can be a very effective treatment for a wide range of common conditions, including migraines and headaches, neck and back pain, TMJ, and stress-related problems.

Ashiatsu

Ashiatsu is a Japanese word translated to “foot pressure” (Ashi = foot & atsu = Pressure). This can be performed on a floor mat or table and requires balancing props, such as ceiling bars, chairs, and even a walking cane. Pressure can be done in light, medium, firm, and deep. In the USA, Ashiastu focuses on relieving muscle tension and soothing aches, giving you longer-lasting relief than traditional massages. It is known to IMPROVE posture, reduce pain and stress, treat spinal problems, and provide incredible depth while still being gentle.

Contraindications: Fever, contagious illness (flu/cold), recent operations / acute injuries, or infectious skin diseases.

Lymphatic

Lymphatic facilitation is a gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. When done effectively, it can increase the natural lymph flow rate by up to 50%. It is indicated for the following conditions: edema from physical trauma, sports injuries, allergies, sinus congestion, arthritis, headaches, scars, stress, post-operative surgery, insomnia, fatigue, aid in recovery, decreased pain, and reduced scar tissue.

For post-operative surgery, it is recommended to have multiple lymphatic massages a week for 6-8 weeks for recovery.

Examples of surgeries: liposuction, tummy tuck, breast cancer/mastectomy, or any surgery that leaves you with scar tissue etc.

It is contraindicated for people with heart conditions, people taking immune suppressive medications, those at risk for thrombosis, those with pitting edema, lymphedema, or any other condition that could be made worse by increased fluid circulation (e.g., AKI, organ failure, etc.).
